Since it's Top Chef DC this season, of course they had to do a White House-specific challenge. This one was about making nutritious and delicious school lunches on a school lunch budget.
What impressed me was how little some of these people - highly trained chefs - actually knew about nutrition and health. I mean - the look of pure shock when one of the chefs was informed that tomatoes are fruit, not vegetables, was priceless. And who thinks that a few sticks of celery is an adequate serving of vegetables for lunch?

I've only caught a few episodes of Top Chef, unfortunately I missed this episode. I wish I could have caught it, can't believe they didn't know tomatoes are fruit--my boys both know this and are under ten years old!!
